Students are not assigned homework in my class. However, there are things you can do at home that will help your child strengthen his/her math skills.
Below are some things you can have your child do at home:
* Allow your child to help measure the ingredients for a recipe.
* Have your child measure the time it takes to complete a task.
* Have your child sort the coins in your pocket or wallet. Have them count each type individually and in combinations.
* Practice math facts.
* Identify shapes in the house and outside as you travel.
* Practice counting. Count by ones, twos (even and odd), fives, tens. As your child masters these begin counting by threes and fours.
